Fall Bash, Fall Shenanigans, & PSL's šŸ™Œ

This is your monthly dose of Full Send.

Howdy šŸ‘‹. I’m so glad you’re here. It’s officially fall. At least it is here in Colorado as the leaves are beginning their autumn transformation into a sight that tens of thousands travel to see each year. If you’re still sweating it out in Texas, we see you too. Go grab yourself a PSL, crank that AC all the way down and maybe cozy up with a blanket. It’ll at least make you feel like fall. Ok, let’s talk about what’s happening!

To frame our update: we help small businesses achieve more — personally and professionally. We play the role of their beloved accountant and data automation teams.

Let’s Dive In šŸ‘‡

✊ THE FALL BASH

It’s that time of year again. If you’re in Denver, we want you here.

Next Week. September 25th. 5:30p - 8p.

It’s going to be seriously awesome.

There are 2 reasons we host the Fall Bash every year:

- To Support our Non-Profit Partner Ā» First Descents

- To Bring Together the Community

From Day 1, we’ve been consistent about 3 things. To elevate the outcomes for our team, our clients, and our community. This event is a huge part of that. A time to come together, enjoy an evening of connections, laughter, and support a great cause.

We have limited space at the event, but want to pack it out. As this is a community event, we’re encouraging folks to bring a +1 and invite their networks to join us. Together, we’ll experience some great music, fun & collaborative games, and some good drinks + light eats.

Yes, there will be ā€˜prizes’ for the game play. 2 GoPro packages and 1 $500+ big ticket item. Come ready.

Short break to acknowledge the hard work our team has put in this year šŸ‘‡

šŸš€ Need to know: Business News

> Nano Banana is the Latest AI Craze. Google Gemini’s new image editor model - Nano Banana just pushed Gemini to the top of global app charts. It’s the No. 1 app on the Apple US App Store, beating out ChatGPT. But why? Well, the short version is that their image editing model is a significant leap forward in image alterations versus image generation. Yes, some of these features are native to handheld devices these days, but the Nano Banana takes it to the next level. Here’s a crazier number - Gemini has generated $6.3M in revenue on iOS devices this year. It’s grown like crazy during the year, but it’s still a very small fraction of what OpenAI’s ChatGPT is pulling in each month - over $1B, yes B, per month. (What Even is a Nano Banana?)

> Interest Rate Cuts & Small Business. I’m no economist, but COVID wasn’t nice to small businesses. High inflation has been rough on small businesses. Rapid wage growth has been hard on small businesses. Not to mention the high cost of capital over the last number of years with increased interest rates. The Fed cutting interest rates has some investors excited about their ability to improve their profitability and thus, reinvestment into the economy. The goal is to drive towards a sustainable profit rebound that could prolong the uncertainty-fueled rally. (It Won’t be a 3 Point Cut, but Still Noteworthy)

šŸ“ˆ Full Send Client Highlight: FundMiner

I didn’t know how difficult fund management was until FundMiner’s Co-Founder, Chelsea Lamego explained it to me.

Educational institutions, nonprofits, foundations, faith-based institutions, etc. all have funds that need to be meticulously tracked and allocated. It’s hard work. Tracking every penny. Especially if you’re managing millions of dollars across multiple departments.

Clickbait: This 86-year-old movie is pulling in about $2M PER DAY (better than Gemini can say…). Turns out I was just on a text thread talking about this very show. Surprised me, to say the least.
